Windmill Design Cherry & Maple Nantucket Basket Bases, 6" Round, Slotted for Staves

Start your next basket with a base that looks as good as the finished piece. These brand-new 6" round bases feature a Windmill design and come in two classic hardwoods: Cherry and Maple. Each one is finished, smooth, and sleek, so it's ready for weaving.

Windmill Design Cherry Base

The Wind Mill Design Cherry Base has the warm, reddish tones that cherry is known for. Cherry deepens and darkens with age, so your basket will look richer as the years go by. It suits traditional Nantucket-style baskets and makes a strong centerpiece for a handmade gift.

Windmill Design Maple Base

The Wind Mill Design Maple Base is light and creamy, with a fine, even grain. Its pale color gives a clean, modern look. It also contrasts well with dark rattan or reed staves.

Why Choose a Nantucket Basket Base with Windmill?

A Nantucket Basket Base with Windmill detailing adds a touch of coastal charm that plain bases can't match. The pattern shows on the underside of your finished basket and sets it apart from ordinary baskets.
