Hand Caning Pegs: HH Perkins Caning Pegs are sold by the dozen. Make that 7 step hand caning process that much easier with the proper tools. Caning Pegs are used to hold the cane in place while weaving. Usually takes a couple of dozen per seat. Pegs can be reused many times on a variety of different projects.
Strand Cane and Hand Cane can be used interchangeably. Both terms refer to weaving with Natural Strand Cane. To determine if your piece is Hand Cane or Cane Webbing see if the cane is woven through holes or held in place with Reed Spline. Hand Cane is always woven through holes, and Hand Caning Pegs are used to hold that Strand Cane into the hole. Pegs should only be used in a Natural Strand Caning project.
